New Model 633.11 Elevated Temperature Axial ExtensometerMTS’ new 633.11 axial extensometer delivers stable, low-creep axial measurements for both tension and fatigue testing applications, at temperatures from 15° to 540° C (60° to 1000°F) in environments without external cooling. Highly accurate and reliable, it is designed to meet or exceed ASTM E83 Class B1 and ISO 9513 Class 0.5 standards, and can be ordered in either of two versions:
• U.S. Customary: Features a 1.000-inch gage length, travel range of -0.080
inches to +0.160 inches, and strain range of -8.0% to +16%
• SI Metric: Features a 25.00 mm gage length, travel range of -2.00
mm to +4.00 mm, and strain range of -8.0% to +16%
True center-point bending
A unique cross-flexure design enables true center-point bending, resulting in low hysteresis and low activation forces for exceptionally accurate readings.
Stays attached through specimen failure
Mechanical stops allow the 633.11 extensometer to remain connected to the specimen through specimen failure without incurring damage.
Durable knife edges
633.11 extensometers come standard with hardened, replaceable knife edges for flat and round specimens. A symmetrical design minimizes susceptibility to chipping and wear.
