These water-cooled high-temperature extensometers are designed for measuring axial strain in high temperature tension, compression, and through-zero fatigue testing applications up to 1200°C (2200°F). Water cooling is more effective at keeping the extensometer body at a constant temperature and reducing noise in the data measured.
