A time-saving optional feature of MTS Damper Software, Velocity Preservation enables quick and efficient integration of new, higher velocity content into existing damper test profiles, greatly streamlining test setup and operation.
Spencer Neitz - System Integration Engineer demonstrates how Velocity Preservation can be used to quickly create high-velocity sinusoidal damper test profiles. Once created, these high-velocity profiles can be incorporated into any damper test sequence and run on that specific servo hydraulic test system without having to re-tune system PID gains.
Velocity Preservation employs a virtual model of the damper test system to compensate for servo hydraulic system nonlinearities and achieve the smooth, low-distortion actuation needed to test accurately at very high velocities.
