Industry-leading AeroPro software now features the capability to incorporate Digital Image Correlation, or DIC, signals into its integrated control and data acquisition stream. DIC is an optical, non-contacting measurement technique used to evaluate the motions and deformations of specimens under test. Because it offers relatively easy specimen preparation and yields high-resolution, 3D full-field measurement data, DIC is being used increasingly in aerospace testing as a complement to contacting sensors, and to validate FEA models.
AeroPro Software version 7.70 supports ARAMIS Digital Image Correlation solutions provided by Carl Zeiss GOM Metrology GmbH.
