MTS FlexDAC 20 Data Acquisition Systems employ hardware-based clock synchronization with FlexTest digital controllers to yield extremely high data accuracy.
It’s critical to know what load level produces a given strain value, however, any skew between controller and data acquisition systems introduces uncertainty into results. Stitching together data ported from different software applications after-the-fact is one major source of skew and post-test uncertainty. MTS engineers have overcome this problem with a hard sync between MTS FlexDAC 20 data acquisition systems and FlexTest digital controllers, using AeroPro software. Essentially, MTS FlexDAC units employ the same internal clock as FlexTest controllers to generate a truly synchronized control and data acquisition stream. This enables a scan of both at precisely the same clock tick with zero skew between applied load and and acquired data. MTS is the only test solutions provider to offer truly synchronized control and data acquisition.
Series 494 controller hardware is the product of more than forty years of advanced test and simulation development and leadership. MTS' fourth generation of digital controllers, the modular 494 platform features easily upgraded centralized processors and test resource boards and a common set of conditioners, valve drivers and I/O modules. This enables test labs to cost-effectively expand controller capacity and extend the productive life of their investment.
No configuration constraints: Any input can be assigned to any control channel; Control channels can be assigned to any station without changing circuit boards or cables.
